cHRISTIAN PERFORMANCE THEATRE classes
Spring Session
Christian Performance Theatre (CPT) is excited for our Spring session! Students ages 8-16 have
the opportunity to become fully immersed in music theater by enrolling in our Enrollment Show/Class,
My Son Pinocchio Jr. on Tuesdays or students ages 8-18 may focus on
developing their skills in voice, dance, or drama in a Thursday evening class. The 5-7 year olds will
join together for Our Gang on Tuesdays. Classes meet weekly throughout the spring session.
During the last week of class, high-energy showcases are presented by each class to show what
they have learned for their friends and family.

A Special Update from CPT
As we open registration,
we are still uncertain about our venue for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We had hoped that
we would once again be hosted by the Alvin Morris Administrative Center (AMAC), however Wichita
Public Schools is unable to guarantee our dates, which leaves us in search of a host
venue. Despite this uncertainty, we remain dedicated to producing Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory this spring and are aiming for April 10-12. We are proceeding with auditions
on Friday, January 24 and callbacks on Saturday, January 25.
Please note: We
welcome suggestions for venues. Send your thoughts to office@cptheatre.org (please don’t
contact venues directly). We also invite you to join us in prayer, asking God to lead and provide
for us through this challenge.

Puppets and Marionettes
Ages 5-7
Instructor:
Ashley Bridgwater
Ms. Ashley has taken over Our Gang and she’s ready to teach our youngest actors to a fun and
exciting place this session. We will teach stage presence, basic choreography, and
script memorization. We will develop characters and have a great time along the way
acting, singing, and dancing! We called it “Puppets and Marionettes” but our cast
will grow so much you’ll think they should be singing “there are NO strings on
me!”

Enrollment Show Class
My Son pinocchio jr.
Ages 8-16
Instructors:
Kaili Doeden, Emma Groth, Davis Green
Join the Blue Fairy, Stromboli and a lively cast of characters as Geppetto journeys beyond
the toyshop to discover the meaning of family. When the Blue Fairy grants Geppetto's wish to
bring his beloved puppet to life, the new father quickly learns that being a parent is full
of challenges. He struggles to make his son "the perfect boy," only to lose him to a gang of
Roustabouts. It is only when faced with the thought of never seeing Pinocchio again that
Geppetto truly learns the joys of being a father and loving his child unconditionally.
Enrollment Show Classes are designed to give a taste of the production experience. Auditions
will be held at the first class to determine roles. Acting, singing, and choreography are
taught weekly. Though much less commitment than a full production, parents and families of
the cast are encouraged to get involved with sets, costumes, backstage, or any number of
departments that bring the experience together. Students enrolled in the class are
automatically cast in the show.
